Sue Butler: Executive Director
Sue is the Executive Director at BritVil Community Food Pantry. Sue has worked at the Food Pantry since 2004 to fight hunger and served more than 22,135 people in 2016. In her current role, she oversees fundraising from corporations, foundations, individuals, government, civic, religious organizations and daily operations of the Food Pantry. Sue previously worked for a food distribution center. Sue received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. She resides in Oklahoma City with her husband. Sue follows Founder and Executive Director Ernestine Thomas who announced in 2003 that she would step down from her position, following 13 years of leadership.
Lori Young
Joined the Board in 2014. Serves as the Executive Director of Trinity Legal Clinic of Oklahoma (Oklahoma City, OK). As ED, Lori oversees approximately 50 volunteer attorneys who provide free legal services to people in poverty while sharing the love of Christ with them. Trinity Legal Clinic operates free legal clinics at four locations, where they assist approximately 225 clients each year with legal issues involving, among others, family law, criminal law, social security, and housing. Lori is also an adjunct professor at OSU-OKC teaching Leadership and Public Service Administration. Lori and her husband Preston are members of North Side Christian Church
C.A. Hartwig
C.A. Harwig joined the board in 2012 and has served as a pantry volunteer since 2010. He is a native of Tipton, Oklahoma, a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a BS degree in business (accounting major) and a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He spent most of working career in banking and investments and retired at the end of 2009. He is a current member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
Ben Mannahan
Ben joined the board in 2012. In 2009, he retired from his position as vice president of Tinker Federal Credit Union where he was in charge of project management. Ben began volunteering at the pantry in 2010. Ben previously served as an elder at Our Lord’s Community Church and a board member with Mission to Internationas, Inc. in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Barry Bloyd
Barry has been on the board of directors since 2007 serving as President for two years. Barry retired in January 2005 as Director of USDA’s Oklahoma Agricultural Statistics Service. He is a native of Aline Oklahoma, a graduate of Oklahoma State University and was an employee of USDA for nearly 40 years working in Nebraska, Iowa, Washington D.C., Missouri, Arizona, and Oklahoma. He and his wife Connie have two boys and they are members of North Side Christian Church.
Tami Bramel
Tami Bramel joined our board of directors in 2009. Tami was a Regional Vice President for AT&T Wireless and worked in the wireless industry for over 20 years. Since leaving AT&T, Tami has devoted her time to serving the inner-city youth in Oklahoma City. She serves as the Associate Director of Life Change Academy. She has previously served on the boards of Junior Achievement serving as Chairwoman, Finance Committee for the Oklahoma City YWCA, The Oklahoma Academy and American Cellular Management Corporation. She is a member of Britton Christian Church.
Deana Basey
Deana join the board in 1999 and has served as a volunteer for over 20 years She’s the vice president of Basey’s Roofing that she and her husband established almost 40 years ago
She is currently working in women’s ministry at Britton Christian Church and helps mentor at-risk youth.
Amanda Burgess
Amanda joined the board in 2006. Amanda was a small business owner who operated a high-end women’s clothing store “What To Wear” for over 4 years. Prior to her store, she worked as a clothing buyer and has over 10 years in the retail business. She is currently a freelance fashion writer and her work has appeared in a variety of local magazines and blogs. She volunteers at the pantry heading up our creative, social media and IT areas.
Garrett Stevens
Garrett Stevens joined the board in 2002. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Exchange Traded Concepts, LLC (formerly FaithShares Advisors, LLC) where he oversees and is actively involved in the firm’s daily operations. He is also CEO of Exchange Traded Concepts Trust, Chairman of the Trust Board and holds the position of Chairman of ETC’s Executive Committee. Prior to the ETC endeavor, Mr. Stevens founded FaithShares in 2009 where he served as CEO, launching the first family of faith-based ETFs in the marketplace. An Oklahoma native, Garrett holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University.
Bob Edwards
Bob joined our board in 1998. He is part owner and Director of First Security Bank as well as Edwards Properties and Investments. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA. He is the past President of Edwards Petro, Inc. and Am-Pro Inc. He has previously served as chairman of the board for Village Christian Church and on the Board of Trustees for Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
Kimberly Jones
Kim Jones is a native of OKC and alumni of OU who has been married to her husband Edward for 30 years. They have 3 children: Kelsey, Ben, Jonathan (who also works at the pantry when he isn’t at school), and Lucy the miniature schnauzer! Kim is an active member of Village Baptist Church, where she is Women’s Ministry director and sings in the CrossRoads ensemble and the Celebration Choir. She loves to volunteer at BritVil, loves football, and is an avid Sooner fan!
